Verdi & Sparkletini

A refreshed look, resealable convenience, and a bold new pineapple flavor give Verdi and Sparkletini even more reasons to shine this holiday season.

For a brand built around celebration, Verdi and Sparkletini by Verdi are giving retailers and consumers something new to toast this holiday season. Refreshed packaging across the portfolio puts greater emphasis on shelf visibility and the brands’ signature resealable cork, while the launch of Cabezona Pineapple – the first new Sparkletini flavor extension in nearly a decade – brings fresh energy to the lineup.

“This is actually much more than a packaging refresh,” says Michael Arons, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Carriage House Imports, which sells Verdi and Sparkletini Spumantes. Cabezona Pineapple was developed to create an incremental opportunity for an established brand while introducing a flavor with broad consumer appeal and a distinctive story.

The Cabezona, or “big-headed” pineapple, has roots in Puerto Rico and is closely associated with the island’s agricultural heritage. That inspiration comes through in a vibrant package designed to communicate pineapple flavor, energy, and Puerto Rican influence while still fitting seamlessly within the Sparkletini by Verdi family.

The neck and front labels for all Verdi and Sparkletini 750 ml flavors, including new Cabezona Pinapple, have been updated for a more impactful look, better visibility, and a resealable callout.

The new look provides an eye-catching point of difference on shelf and an opportunity to highlight innovation within a familiar brand. Cabezona can be merchandised alongside the broader Sparkletini lineup to create colorful displays in sparkling wine, celebration, and holiday entertaining sections.

The packaging updates also call greater attention to one of Verdi and Sparkletini’s most distinctive features: the resealable cork closure. A new “Reseal & Save” medallion helps make that benefit immediately clear to shoppers.

“The resealable cork has always been one of Verdi and Sparkletini’s most distinctive functional advantages,” Arons says. “It provides the celebratory experience of opening a sparkling bottle while allowing consumers to easily reseal and enjoy it again later.”

That combination of celebration and convenience is particularly well suited to the holiday season. Sparkletini’s fruit-forward flavors and approachable style appeal to a wide range of consumers, while its accessible price point makes it easy for shoppers to purchase multiple bottles and flavors for parties, dinners, and seasonal gatherings.

The brand also fills an important niche for consumers looking for a festive alternative to more traditional sparkling wine or Champagne, especially for toasting the New Year. Verdi and Sparkletini offer an easy entry point into sparkling occasions without the formality or higher price that can sometimes accompany Champagne.

“The approachable flavor profiles, festive package, and strong value make the brand ideal for consumers who simply want something fun, flavorful, and sparkling to share,” Arons says.

Cabezona Pineapple adds another dimension to that proposition. Its tropical flavor and Puerto Rican inspiration make it especially relevant for multicultural celebrations, while also giving retailers another story to tell. In markets with strong Puerto Rican and Caribbean communities, that connection can be an especially effective merchandising opportunity.

During the holidays, retailers can make the most of the refreshed packaging by giving Verdi and Sparkletini high-visibility placement and merchandising the flavors together as a family. Calling attention to both Cabezona Pineapple as a new release and the resealable closure gives shoppers multiple reasons to take a closer look.

As Arons puts it, “There’s something new to celebrate from Sparkletini.”

With a refreshed look, a useful resealable closure, and a bold new flavor in the portfolio, Verdi and Sparkletini offer retailers a festive, value-friendly sparkling option for holiday entertaining, gifting, and celebratory toasts.
