Longtime employees Eric Landes and Tyler Clark bring fresh energy, deep customer relationships, and a community-first vision to a West Chester favorite.
Since 1981, Goshen Beverage has been a familiar stop for beer shoppers in the West Chester community. Over the decades, the store has built its reputation not only on selection and service, but also on the relationships formed across the counter.
In April 2026, Goshen Beverage entered a new chapter when longtime employees Eric Landes and Tyler Clark became the store’s new owners. The change brings fresh energy to the business, but also a strong sense of continuity. Landes has worked at Goshen Beverage for 15 years, while Clark has been part of the team for 11 years. Together, they understand the store from the ground up and are focused on preserving what customers already love while continuing to move the business forward.
“There is something special about the beer industry that’s kept me in it for 15 years,” Landes says. “I enjoy the variety of experiences it brings. From helping someone celebrate a wedding to checking in with regular customers and making sure their day is going well.”
For Clark, what began as a part-time job in college turned into a long-term career. “The beer industry sunk its teeth into me and never let go,” he says. “The most prominent reason is the relationships I’ve made. Between the regular customers, reps in the industry, and co-workers, they make it so that I love coming to work every morning.”

That connection to customers is at the heart of what makes Goshen Beverage special. The new owners say the store has become more than a place to buy beer. It is a neighborhood business where people stop in to see familiar faces, ask for recommendations, and feel connected to the community around them.
“We get to be part of birthdays, weddings, holidays, tailgates, and everyday moments,” they say. “There’s something really rewarding about being part of people’s routines and making sure they leave in a better mood than when they walked in.”
As the beverage alcohol industry continues to evolve, Goshen Beverage balances longtime customer favorites with new releases, local products, seasonal offerings, and emerging trends. For Landes and Clark, that balance starts with listening. Some shoppers come in every week for the same beer they’ve enjoyed for years, while others are looking for something new to try. Understanding both types of customers is key.
Fall is one of the most exciting times of year to see that balance in action. Seasonal beers return to the spotlight, shoppers begin reaching for richer styles as the weather cools, and football season brings renewed energy to the store. Pumpkin beers have regained momentum in recent years, with Dogfish Head Punkin Ale among the standouts, while Oktoberfest beers remain a reliable fall favorite.
Merchandising also plays an important role in the customer experience. With so many products on the market, strong displays help shoppers discover something they may have missed. Seasonal displays, featured products, and an organized store layout keep Goshen Beverage easy to shop while making the experience feel fresh and engaging.
Looking ahead, Landes and Clark are focused on improving the customer experience while maintaining the atmosphere that has made Goshen Beverage successful for more than four decades. They are interested in modernizing where it makes sense, staying active with social media and delivery services, and continuing to bring in products that excite customers.
Zach Ertell, Origlio Beverage Off-Premise Sales Rep, has worked with Goshen Beverage for five years and says the ownership transition has been “very smooth,” thanks to Landes and Clark’s communication and commitment. What stands out most, he says, is “their consistent effort to make things better around them.”
As fall approaches, Goshen Beverage is well positioned for another strong season of seasonal releases, tailgate staples, and customer favorites. Under new ownership, the store’s foundation remains the same: great service, trusted selection, and a personal connection to the West Chester community.
