Craft Double IPA
Lagunitas Sucks was first brewed in 2011 as an unplanned replacement for the brewery’s beloved Shugga’ Ale, which couldn’t be made that year due to production constraints. Meant as a tongue-in-cheek apology, Sucks turned out to be a hit, and its success turned it from a one-off into a fan-favorite seasonal. Now it’s back for a limited time only. This double IPA is built on a four-grain “cereal medley” of barley, rye, wheat, and oats. Heavily dry hopped for big citrus, pine, and tropical fruit aromatics. Sucks drinks lighter on bitterness and body than a typical double IPA but holds its own at 8% ABV.
