Pete Steffy

Marketing Brand Manager

For the past 14 years, Pete Steffy has established himself as something of a jack-of-all trades at Origlio. He’s held positions in both the on and off-premise as a Merchandiser, Account Manager and District Manager before being elevated to his current position as part of Origlio’s marketing team. Each exciting, new role has provided Steffy the “opportunity to work with some great people both inside and outside the company.” As a Brand Manager, Steffy now manages fifteen suppliers, overseeing a variety of aspects of product life cycles. “From seeing an idea on paper, to watching it get sold into the market, and everything in between.”

What do you find most challenging about your job? Time management. I’m always reevaluating to make sure I’m completing necessary tasks to hit a variety of deadlines. It’s easy to get pulled in a lot of directions and get off track. Establishing daily, weekly and monthly tasks helps minimize errors and assures that deadlines will be met.

What advice would you give to a new Brand Manager? While there is a standard cadence and flow to a month, every day is very different. Be prepared to be versatile. You meet and work with a lot of smart individuals, be a sponge and absorb as much information as you can.

What do you like to do when you’re not working? Spend time with my family. I have a wife and two young boys that always keep us moving. When we aren’t doing all things sports, we love finding new bars and restaurants with great pizza and soft pretzels!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Mistakes are always the best learning opportunities, don’t get discouraged, treat them as a chance to learn and grow.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Friends drinking competitors’ products!

If you could be anywhere, drinking any alcoholic beverage… I’d have an ice-cold Coors Light on the 19th hole after a round of golf.
