Mike McDonald

Warehouseman

After 18 years with Origlio Beverage, longtime team member Mike McDonald is retiring in early 2026. Mike started his career at Origlio as a night shift order picker and now works in the empties department. He says the key to being a top-notch warehouseman is simple: keep your head down and work hard. While some days are busier than others, staying accurate and ahead of the workload makes all the difference. What Mike enjoys most about his job is the friendly atmosphere and the sense that the Origlio family truly cares about their employees. His advice for newcomers? Show up on time and work hard.

What motivates you most in life? 100% my family!

Your favorite local restaurant/bar is… Tony’s Place in Ivyland. Their beer selection is phenomenal, the food is amazing, and their bartenders are great!

If you could instantly master any skill… I would love to be able to play the guitar. I never had the patience for lessons.

What does your ideal weekend look like? Sitting in my recliner watching sports with a cold beverage in hand.

The most adventurous thing you’ve ever done is… I went skydiving in Lambertville, NJ in 1995. I was 31 years old. What an amazing rush that was!

Your go-to karaoke song is… “Peanut Butter Jelly Time” by the Buckwheat Boyz.

If you could be anywhere, drinking any alcoholic beverage… I’d be sitting on a beach by the ocean with a Modelo Especial in hand and plenty of extras in the cooler next to me.

What are you looking forward to most in your retirement? Making my own schedule.
