Jim Castelberg

Warehouseman

Although his current position is warehouseman, Jim Castelberg was a Delivery Service Representative for 20 years and then spent years training new drivers for the company. After 37 years, he has decided that it’s time to retire. We can’t thank him enough for all his dedication and friendship to all of us at Origlio. Jimmy, you will be missed, but we wish you and your family all the best in this next chapter of your life!

What does it take to be a top-notch Warehouseman at Origlio? I would say mostly patience. It’s also critical to be on top of all safety regulations.

What has been your greatest accomplishment in your professional life? I’m most proud of the fact that I have trained over 50 employees who have obtained their CDL licenses to become Origlio drivers.

What were your biggest challenges? Everything has its challenges, but they can be overcome if you adapt.

What are you most looking forward to in retirement? Spending more time with my wife and family.

What will you miss most about your job? Honestly, nothing [laughs]. I’m really looking forward to retirement. I’m ready.

What advice would you give someone just starting out as a warehouseman? I would advise new warehousemen to work safely and respect their co-workers.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be, past or present? Dominic Origlio Sr., Michael Jordan and Jeff Gordan.

What are three things on your bucket list? I’d love to buy an old, classic show car, take a vacation to Jamaica and join a gym.

If you could be anywhere, drinking any beer… I’d be relaxing in Jamaica with a Blue Moon in hand.
