Dan Leal

IT Associate

Dan Leal spent five years at our sister company, 31st & Wharton, before becoming Origlio’s Information Technology (IT) Associate where he responds to IT helpdesk tickets, participates in projects requiring IT support and maintains the company’s fleet of devices. Nearly two years into his current position, Leal also takes new employees through an important “onboarding” process. When asked what he likes most about his job, he replied that he learns something new every day. Leal explains, “The position not only affords it, it’s a requirement… before I can fix whatever IT issue someone has, I need an intimate understanding of what their job entails and the duties they perform, which can be daunting.” But Leal is always up for a challenge. When asked what it takes to be a top-notch IT Associate, he said, “It’s important to triage problems as they come in, while keeping a cool head when things are tough or aren’t going well.”

What do you like to do when you’re not working? My wife and I recently had a baby, so taking care of him takes up the majority of my time these days, but I love playing soccer and visiting breweries in the area.

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be, past or present? Socrates [the ancient Greek philosopher], my dad and the lady that flipped me off yesterday. Haha!

What are three things on your bucket list? I would like to finish a single personal coding project, watch a Premiere League soccer game at Molineux Stadium and visit Figueres, Spain.

The last TV show you binged was… Succession, which I highly recommend.

Your favorite movie of all time is… The Fast and The Furious. It came out at a time when I thought it was the coolest thing ever and now it’s just hilarious to revisit.

If you could be anywhere, drinking any alcoholic beverage… I’d be drinking a Sagres [beer] in Portugal with my family.
