Bob Sokel

Off-Premise District Manager

Off-Premise District Manager Bob Sokel has been with Origlio for more than 30 years. Since joining the company in 1995, he has grown through a wide range of roles, including Merchandiser, Sales Rep, On-Premise DM, Space Planning & Grocery Launch Lead, and Brand Manager, before stepping into his current position. As an Off-Premise DM, Bob turns suppliers’ business plans into real-world execution by coaching his team, setting clear objectives, and partnering closely with customers to drive sales growth. He enjoys the ever-changing nature of the job, where no two days are the same and every challenge is a chance to learn. Bob believes that strong leadership (which he is thankful to have), consistent communication, and a deep understanding of customers are essential to success.

The advice you would give to a new District Manager is… You have two ears and one mouth, act accordingly. You need to learn about your customers and your team. The sooner you understand their wants and needs, the sooner you’ll be on your way to success.

What motivates you most in life? My girlfriend, my kids, my family, and my friends. They all mean the world to me.

Your favorite local restaurant or bar is… After 30+ years in the business, I have too many friends that run amazing spots to pick just one.

What does your ideal weekend look like? 18 early holes of golf each day, followed by time with my family and friends, ideally on a beach or by a pool, with the Phillies on in the background.

The most adventurous thing you’ve ever done was… A couple of years ago, I went fly fishing for the first time on a boat in Montana. Balancing while learning made it challenging, but it was an amazing experience.

Your go-to karaoke song is… If I get up to sing, it’s time to go home.

If you could be anywhere, drinking any alcoholic beverage… I’d be on a beach with my family and an ice-cold can of Modelo in hand.
