How long have you been with the company? 4 1/2 years.
What does your current job entail? I manage the transition between DSRs returning for the day and 2nd into 3rd shift warehouse workers picking orders for the next day. I check in the trucks coming back from deliveries, making sure everything is accounted for. I also always need to have my eye on warehouse cleanliness and any possible safety risks.
What does it take to be a top-notch supervisor? For me, the first thing is making sure that people respect you and listen to what you say. It’s important to have a good team under you and make sure everyone’s on the same page, knowing that we have to get the job done and set up for the next shift.
What do you like most about your job? I get to assist both sides of the company – sales and operations. Having previous sales experience, I have a good relationship with that side of the company and I’m able to communicate with sales reps and managers to solve problems easily.
What do you like to do when you’re not working? I’m really into fishing; I enter local tournaments as often as I can. I also like to golf and watch sports.
If you could be anywhere, drinking any beer, where would you be and what beer would you have in your hand? I’d be on a lake somewhere, drinking a New England-style IPA.
