Wurzburger Hofbrau Brewery

The first official Wurzburger brewery was established by Prince-bishop Johann Phillip von Schonborn in 1643, and was called Wurzburger Hofbrau A.G. In 1863 the brewery was passed from the Bavarian Crown to a private brewer, Matthaus Max. In 1867, Wurzburger Hofbrau was being served on draught at "Luchow’s" in New York City.

Interrupted by Prohibition and the two World Wars, Wurzburger returned to the U.S.A. in 1950.

Tusker

ABV: 4.2%

St. Killian Importing Co.

"The beer from the shadow of Kilimanjaro" is known throughout the world. This international favorite is made with bima equatorial barley and the pure waters of Mizuma Springs in Kenya.  On the label of every bottle of Tusker Lager are the words Bia Y Angu Nchi Yangu. That's swahili for "My Beer My Country." Tusker is a famous Kenyan lager, named after the African bull elephant, which appears on both the label and the cap. Tusker is pale yellow in color, with a creamy white, resilient head.  It is refreshingly dry and bitter, with a prominent hop character also evident in the nose. All in all, a good straight-forward pilsner.
