Evil Genius Beer Co.
Owners/Founders of the Evil Genius Beer Co., Trevor Hayward and Luke Bowen met at Villanova University. What started out as a dream that many college guys have, became a reality for the friends. They partnered with Mark Braunwarth, formerly of Swashbuckler Brewing Company, and began work on starting a brewery! Originally their plan was to build a brewery in Pennsylvania, but after much debate they thought it best to start by contract brewing. After searching up and down the East Coast (drinking some amazing beer in the process, but unfortunately coming up empty handed) they decide to expand their search area to the Midwest. There they found Four Horsemen Brewing Company in South Bend, Indiana. The guys at Four Horsemen are so passionate about making great craft beer and the pair bonded with them right off the bat. All of Evil Brewing’s beers are now being hand crafted by the tremendous team at Four Horsemen. However, their goal is still to build their own brewery as soon as possible.

This German-style golden ale balances a sweet malt aroma with a light hop finish. The beer is brewed with traditional Pilsner malt, Weyerman Wheat malt and a small amount of Cara Amber. Three stages of Perle hops and one of Tettnag lend themselves to floral and sweet aromatics. Notes of caramel and pear shine through in this true session beer with a slight bitterness and a crisp, clean finish. |

Good Old Bill Shakespeare was most certainly a genius, but we think he's pretty evil too. We've all been stuck studying his plays for 400 years! Evil Genius’ wit is infused with mandarin oranges to give it a hint of sweetness that balances this beer nicely; a fantastic thirst quencher. |
