Founded in 1985 by Rosemarie Certo and Jeffrey Ware, this Philadelphia-based beer company grew from a simple concept to become a nationally renowned business. At the height of its success the company generated annual sales in excess of $7 million from its bottled beer division and the Philadelphia Dock Street Brewery & Restaurant. Bottled beers were sold in 23 states in the U.S. with California and Pennsylvania holding the largest markets.  In 1998 Dock Street Brewing Co. was sold. It was reacquired in 2001 by one of the original owners, Rosemarie Certo. In 2004 she began the process of restoring Dock Street as the number one specialty beer producer in the region. Dock Street's greatest assets are almost 20 years of American Beer History, an upscale image and a reputation for quality and industry wide recognition.

A blend of American Centennial and English Fuggles hops lends a delicate hop presence.
