The Lost Abbey

In 1992, there weren’t many options when it came to locally crafted, freshly brewed beers produced in San Diego. As such, Vince and Gina Marsaglia started brewing at home. Soon, they were making more than they could leisurely drink. Yet, they really wanted to share some of the incredible brews they created with their customers too. So, in October of 1992, a 7 barrel brewery was installed and in 1993 the first handcrafted beer brewed on the premises in Solana Beach was served. "For Sinners and Saints alike," signaled the creation of a line of newly branded beers from The Lost Abbey Brewery. Rooted in the Monastic and artistic Belgian brewing traditions, The Lost Abbey brewery project is the brainchild of Vince and Gina Marsaglia, former head brewer of Pizza Port in Solana Beach, Tomme Arthur and Jim Comstock of Comstock and Associates who formed the partnership responsible for the stewardship of these beers.
