De Koninck

dekonick.com

Established in 1833, De Koninck is the only brewery in the city of Antwerp. The brewery has been renovated, expanded and modernized several times over the years but the pride, passion and craftsmanship of the original brewmasters has not been affected. Today, five generations later, the Van den Bogaert family maintains this noble tradition. De Koninck beers are full-bodied, top fermenting ales with velvety smooth flavors, and can be found all over the world.

De Koninck Ale

ABV: 5%

Belukus

An amber colored, top-fermented beer with a lively taste and velvet soft aroma.  Brewed with Saaz hops and 100% pure malt, without the addition of maize or other brewers’ sugars.  A great thirst quencher and very stimulating to the taste buds.  Thai food, tangy cheese, salad and fish are all wonderful pairings for this ale.

Winter Koninck

ABV: 6.5%

Belukus

This seasonal brew is released at the onset of winter and is eagerly awaited every autumn.  Winter Koninck is a ruby-red, top-fermented beer that resembles the Christmas beer that used to be brewed between Christmas and Epiphany.

This special ale has been developed in honor of the brewing done in the late Middle Ages when the farmers could not work in the fields during the winter months and therefore had time to devote themselves to brewing ale. Served with a creamy head in a special stemmed glass, this is a delight to the eye and taste buds alike. Serve it with earthy cheeses like Camembert and Fontina at your next holiday party.

Brouwerij De Landtsheer

Brouwerij De Landtsheer is a member of the Artisanal Belgian Family Brewers of Flanders. It was founded by Manu de Landtsheer in the 1990s and is known for its Malheur beers.

Malheur Brut Reserve

ABV: 11%

Belukus

The first Biere Brut in the world-a new world classic!  Malheur Brut Reserve is  strong but silky-smooth with a powerful, dry aftertaste. Very aromatic, with scents of velvety peach and rose, apricot, vanilla, orange, and lemon rind.  It is strongly bound and quietly controlled.  Salmon and shellfish bring out the best in this brew.

Malheur 10

ABV: 10%

Belukus

Malheur means "misfortune" in Flemish but that's about as far from the case as you can get with this big tasty ale which pours a murky yellow with a big stable head. Lots of spice in the nose and on the palate, where notes of honey and malt also make their presence known. This Belgian strong ale is somewhat sweet overall, with a pleasant light bitterness in the back. A very drinkable beer. Another treasure from Belgium! Try it as an apéritif or with game or salmon.

Malheur Dark Brut

ABV: 12%

Belukus

A dark version of the classic Malheur Brut Reserve and believed to be the first dark Brut ever. Like the Reserve, it is made in the champagne style and aged in oak barrels. Dark Brut is also slightly stronger than its golden-hued sister brew.
Dark Brut is dark brown in appearance with a brown, creamy foam. The bouquet is extremely complex! Sherry, vanilla and wood with a coffee flavor as a result of the roasted malt. Its taste is oak dry, so this is a genuine Brut! The ale has been decanted in young American oak that was especially burned for this ale. Its bitterness is nicely balanced with the tannin of the wood and just a sweet zest from the alcohol. It has an unusual cork dry aftertaste.

Malheur 12

ABV: 12%

Belukus

With its 12% alcohol by volume and its deep reddish-brown color, a heavyweight in the family of the special Malheur beers. Take quiet time for you: the beautiful round and full flavor continues smoothly drinkable.

Wells and Young’s Brewing Co.

wellsandyoungs.co.uk

In 2004, Young's announced a review of its brewing operations in Wandsworth. The difficulties experienced in brewing on this ancient and enclosed site, coupled with the desire of the local authority to acquire and re-develop the site forced the company to consider its options.  After a 2 1/2 year review, Young's decided to sell the Ram Brewery site and enter into a joint venture with the Bedford brewer, Charles Wells, creating a new force in the industry, Wells & Young's Brewing Company Ltd.

There had been a long-standing personal relationship between the Youngs and the Wells families. The decision to combine their joint heritage of brewing expertise, traditional techniques, master brewers' craft and the highest quality ingredients with the many benefits of a large, modern brewery would safeguard the future of Young's ales for generations to come.

Young’s Double Chocolate Stout

Belukus

Wells Banana Bread

ABV: 5.2%

Belukus

Banana Bread continues the Wells family traditional, yet innovative approach to brewing fine ales.  Wells Banana Bread beer partly takes its name from the Saxon phrase for beer - 'Liquid Bread'. Combining a traditional ale recipe with the flavor of 'fair trade' bananas creates an intriguing and flavorsome pint.  It has been described by renowned international beer writer, Michael Jackson, as "...fruity roughness of winter barley and toffeeish sweetness of crystal malt...hugely tempting aroma of bananas; creamy head; firm, silky body."

Wells Bombardier Premium Bitter

ABV: 5.2%

Belukus

The only national bottled premium ale brand that comes in a full one pint bottle, meaning better value and the satisfaction of pouring a pint that reaches to the top of the glass.  The subtle bitterness is derived from the English Challenger Hop and the color and aroma stem from using Crystal Malt and Goldings Hops.  Wells Bombardier uses more malt per pint than other premium bitter. The English Crystal malt is ground, rather than crushed, to give a richer, more rounded flavor and Wells Bombardier's characteristic deep copper color.

Konig Pilsener

ABV: 4.9%

Belukus

The king of the beers – very unique in the taste.  A premium pilsner of the highest quality. This leading beer is one of the most famous German premium beer brands being exported worldwide.  Try it with Japanese or German foods or a peppery cheese like Monterey or Pepper Jack.

www.belhaven.co.uk

Based just 30 miles east of Edinburgh in the coastal town of Dunbar, Belahaven Brewery is the largest regional brewery in Scotland. It takes its name from a Benedictine monastery located on a nearby island and can trace its commercial activity to 1719.

Belhaven Scottish Ale

ABV: 5.2%

Belukus

This beautiful Scottish ale pours a dark copper color with a substantial head. A dryer, not sweet, malty body with a whiff of smokiness and a light nutty flavor. A crisp refreshing beer for those who do not live and die by hops. This is an excellent match for chicken dishes.

Belhaven Twisted Thistle

ABV: 6.1%

Belukus

A refreshing example of an India Pale Ale from the master brewers at Belhaven. The blend of Cascade and Challenger hops combine to produce an abundance of fresh hop aroma that preludes a bitter-dry taste explosion. Crafted from nearly three centuries of brewing heritage at Scotland's oldest independent brewery, this ale from Belhaven will have your taste buds tingling.

Belhaven Wee Heavy

ABV: 5.2%

Belukus

Belhaven Wee Heavy is a classic example of the Scottish-style ale that was brewed in the1800's. Deep garnet in color, its malty peat aroma gives way to a slightly sweet, delicately smokey taste that finishes with rounded warmth. Although the first impulse is to pair smokey beers with barbecued meats or smoked fish, Wee Heavy is also the perfect companion to desserts like apple cobbler. Its rich and complex character is best appreciated at between 55-60 degrees F.

Belhaven Scottish Stout

ABV:7%

Belukus

A deluxe stout brewed for a full roasted chocolate flavour with a hop character that complements a blend of triple malts.
